Gem Zone is a simple but challenging game in which you need to click on gems to eliminate them from the board in order to align three or more gems of the same color to make them disappear from the board. For every match you create, you will be awarded points. The objective of the game is to fill the color bar by making matches in order to proceed to the next level.
The game offers two modes: Normal and Timed. In Normal mode, the color bar will decrease if you destroy a gem without causing a direct match. On the contrary, in Timed mode, you need to create matches as fast as you can because the color bar decreases as time passes by. So, the faster you create matches, the faster you will win the levels. If the color bar gets empty, the game is over. The controls are very simple, since you only use your mouse to click the gems. In both modes, you can use hints, in case you cannot find a gem to remove, but this will cost you some points. Unfortunately, the game offers very poor graphics and simple sounds.
To conclude, Gem Zone is an enjoyable and challenging game to pass the time, but you will surely get better similar games for the same money or even much less.
